Bloods Lose Yet Another
The start of the game was delayed by the failure of the Undead team to turn up at the agreed time but, over two hours later, they did eventually arrive and the match began with the krawlies kicking to the Bloods.
The Bloods’ first drive up the right flank was stopped cold and the loose ball was whisked away by the ghouls. But a failed pass allowed the Vampires to swoop in and during the ensuing mêlée the ball was knocked over the sidelines. The crowd returned the ball to the halfway line, where it was quickly scooped up by the Bloods and delivered to Ubour Dachnavar who carried it over the line for the opening TD. The restart saw some serious trash-talking between the two teams that degenerated in a minor riot and the referee put more time on the clock. The krawlies grabbed the ball and, despite a false start from another failed pass, nevertheless, managed to get it to Tombripper who carried down the sidelines and through the Vampire defence to score the equaliser. The trash talking continued at the next re-start, the Bloods' player were still obviously incensed at the krawlies discourtesy at turning up so late, and the referee added yet more time to the clock. But the Bloods' drive faltered and the half ended with no change in the score.
The start of the second half saw the krawlies move the ball rapidly among their squad of ghouls to Stonebasher, who carried it over the line. The Bloods were just as quick with a response as Aufhocker Vasher tossed a pass to Constantine von Ungren waiting in the End Zone. The krawlies next drive was practically a mirror image of their first two. Try as they might, the Vampires failed again to stop Stoneripper from carrying the ball down the sideline to score.
The Bloods had plenty of time to score an equaliser to draw the match but a cruel universe prevented Lugat Nachtzehrer from passing the ball to the receiver waiting downfield.* Caught in the open and still unexpectedly holding the ball, Nachtzehrer was knocked down and KO’d. Although the Vampires eventually regathered the ball and delivered it to a Thrall, who started running towards the End Zone, time expired leaving the Bloods with yet another loss and further out of the Top 8.

*The Cyanide program, for some reason, allows a Vampire that fails Blood Lust to still undertake any Action except a Pass (or Hand Off). According to the Fourm this is a known glitch - but a real pain in this game.

Twicksters Beat Bloods
The Waldendof Bloods lost yet another game last night in an agonisingly close contest against Twicksters All-Stars 2-1
The Bloods received the first Kick-Off after an idiosyncratic, but ultimately inspired, decision to kick by Twickster’s self-titled elves. Their opening drive saw the super-strong Ubour Dachnavar ploughing up the field in what looked like an unstoppable push for the End Zone. But it wasn’t to be. A poorly executed thrall feeding incident downfield gave the elves a reprieve and allowed them to surround Dachnvar and bring him down. The loose ball was soon regathered by the All-Stars who suffered their own reverse of fortune when Grigore the Thrall intercepted a pass. The elves, however, quickly regained the ball and this time an uninterrupted pass found Agorbaar Runglinaas who ran in the opening TD.
The start of second half began with the Bloods establishing a deep, anti-passing play defence where potential receivers were pounced upon by the Vampires and paralysed by their spooky mind-powers. But the ploy failed when Thantoldas Larentholial resisted Lugat Nachtzehrer’s mesmerising gaze (despite a re-roll). Still free to catch the ball, Larentholial easily caught the pass and dashed over the line for the All-Stars’ second. The restart saw the Vampires particularly incensed by the elves mental resilience and determined to attack their bodies instead. And they did so with gusto - before the half was out the All-Stars dugout was soon full of damaged elves, including one dead and one seriously injured. Meanwhile, the Vampires finally managed to scored a TD when Constantine von Ungren carried it over the line where he immediately celebrated by biting into a well-positioned Thrall.
The Bloods again established a deep defence at the next restart and this time all the elven receivers were all successfully incapacitated by the Vampires’ enthralling gazes – enabling Nachtzehrer to take off after the optionless ball carrier and bring him down. The elves recovered, however, and eventually got the ball downfield and into the hands of one of their Catchers. But Aufhocker Vasher quickly knocked him out the game Badly Hurt and grabbed the ball. With just seconds remaining it looked like the Bloods might still manage a draw, but a Thrall stumbled trying to pushed himself too far (a double 1 – the third for the game) into the End Zone, in case Nachtzehrer needed a well-earned snack after scoring, ending the game.
Thanks to Geoff for a great game. It was a very close game that turned on a couple of key dice-rolls. The loss leaves the Bloods still periliously close to falling out of the Top 8 altogether – luckily they all have their legal careers to fall back on.

Dachnavar, Nachtzehrer, Vasher & von Ungren
• Received winnings less than promised

Greetings Mortals,
The FNF community has recently been airing a whole range of grievances and complaints. But why just belly-ache when you might be entitled to Just Compensation. We at Dachnavar, Nachtzehrer, Vasher & von Ungren have been practicing law for centuries. As players, as well as lawyers, we bring a unique understanding to the often byzantine legal and regulatory framework of modern Blood Bowl.
Let us take your case. We can provide expert advice, negotiation skills, arbitration services, and (our personal favourite) relief through the courts.

Bloods Lose Another
What can you say about a game where the Thralls not only caused the only casualty but also scored the team’s only Touch Down? A big crowd of Bloods fans, who outnumbered the Undead fans two to one, were so shocked by the performance they witnessed that their overwhelming numbers had no impact on the game whatsoever (except gate-takings – which were exceedingly generous). Conversely, the Necroped’s were in top form and showing no signs of the ill-luck that prompted last week’s emotional outpouring from their frustrated coach. Several of the Undead ghouls were also allegedly totally ripped out of their skulls on illicit agility-enhancing drugs.
With the Bloods receieving, the Necroped’s came out hard in the opening couple of exchanges - with their first six Blocks resulting in four KO’d and two Stunned Thralls. This, coupled with a Vampire feeding “accident”, meant that just as the Bloods got the ball moving they had lost five of their seven on-field Thralls - and neither of the remaining two were standing. Despite the chronic, and very worrying, Thrall shortage - the Vampires took off with the ball up the middle of the pitch. But Ubour Dachnavar’s inability to catch the simplest of passes turned the ball over to the Undead’s doped-up ghouls and Stench Cumsuck eventually ran away with it for the opening TD.
The second half began with the Bloods anticipating the Necroped’s offence and establishing the Perfect Defence against their field placing - and a pair of Vampires was soon converging on the ball carrier. But the excessive drugs coursing through Stench’s veins allowed him to elude his pursuers and fire off a Pass that found Fenwick the Grey who ran in the Necroped’s second TD. With the match all but lost there was some hope the Vampires might still find some form – but it wasn’t to be. Ubour Dachnavar dropped another easy catch and then failed a straight-forward Dodge. In fact, it was left to a humble Thrall, Vasilé, to salvage some honour for the team in the dying seconds of the game. Launching a risky Blitz from a prone position, the plucky Thrall succeeded in knocking the ball loose from the hands of one of the junkie ghouls - he then somehow managed to gather up the ball and push himself over the line for a remarkable TD.
So, another loss leaves the Bloods hanging on to 8th spot by the barest of margins. And a victory by Qman’s Norscan Raiders this round will knock them out of the Top 8 altogether.

Just listen to Moaner moan
And she is not satisfied with her complimentary role on the line of scrimmage from where she watches the werewolves and wights haul in the touchdowns.
Despite being a veteran of six games, the late mother-in-law to the Emperor ranks last in the League with 0 receptions for 0 yards, 0 touchdowns and 0 star player points.
Liza said the Graverotters assured her after she was given a semblance of life by the Altdorf Medical School that she would be an integral component of the team prior to her executors signing a one-year deal.
"This League is full of strapless handbags," Liza said on hearing of her personal season statistics. "But I believe in myself. I've got a good strap on my bag and it's real saurus leather! So the belief in myself said 'once they see me with the ball, things will change'. We’ll see if that holds to be true."
Liza said she hasn't complained to head coach, Supercoach, about not being more heavily involved in offence.
Much.
But she has complained to all her teammates and the media.
Extensively.
She knows that people are probably aware of how she feels about not being utilised more in attack.
"The bad part is that they rely on me and I get no credit for all my effort. The coach says that I have got plenty of credit despite an Imperial funeral, but no one can ever have enough credit. That's just the reality of it.
"Knucklebone, Carnage and Slaughter, they’re all going to get the ball. Supercoach brought them into the team, gave up other player picks, and gave them nice contracts. He's going to find ways to get them the ball. I can appreciate that. It's just that it should be me."
"We knew she would be tough to handle," commented Supercoach on Moaner's latest grievance. "Unlike our other zombies, Moaner has retained some semblance of willpower. The Emperor warned us that she was a … er … strong character, which is why we agreed to put her on the line of scrimmage. It's where she belongs."

Bloods Back On Track
I’d like to say the Waldenhof Bloods really are back on track and that they have thrown off the doldrums of the last few rounds – but even though they won today’s match-up against the orcland rapers, it had little to do with the Vampires’ prowess and everything to do with the abysmal luck of the Orcs.
Things began badly for the orcland boys with the Vampires launching a Blitz on the opening kick-off. Vampires and Thralls immediately began to pour into the Orc backfield – heading straight for the ball. Although Lugat Nachtzehrer was felled by a Bolt of Lightning!!, he soon managed to regain his feet to eventually regathered the ball to score the first TD. The restart saw the Orcs receive the ball cleanly and throw it towards the line of scrimmage. But poor blocking and an almost perpetually stupid Troll allowed the Vampires to not only stop the Orcs from getting much further than the halfway line, but also deliver a fatal blow to the Blitzer, Hopoate bum splitter.
The second half began with a Pitch Invasion that downed two Vampires, two Thralls and five Orcs. With Aufhocker Vasher, the designated receiver, flat on his back, it was up to a Laszlo, the rookie Thrall, to regather the ball - which he did successfully and then delivered a Pass up-field to Nachtzehrer. The Orcs, however, raced in and tried to place some real pressure on the Vampires. But, after dropping the ball from a simple hand-off, Vasher managed to regain the ball, dodged his way clear and headed up the left flank. The Orcs’ appalling luck meant they were unable to stop him and he eventually scored the Bloods second TD.
In the Biff stakes, however, the Orcs really laid into the Vampires and Thralls – injuring two Vampires (both Regenerated) and KO’ing another. Two Thralls were also Seriously Injured (one healed by the Apothecary in a very rare and very uncharacteristic gesture of mercy towards the Thrall squad) and two Thralls were also KO’d. The Vampires’ also injured two Thralls while feeding on them and even the crowd chipped in – injuring yet another Thrall with a thrown rock. Despite all this carnage, the Bloods were still convincing winners– which merely serves to demonstrate just how unlucky the Orc were in every other aspect of the game.
Thanks for the game Ben – better luck (much, much better luck) in your future encounters.

The Wood Elves of the Dancing Hippies handed the Waldenhof Bloods their second loss in a row last night – 3-1. The game saw the Hippies use their superior speed and the excellence of their passing play to put three TDs on the score board, and use the agility and ball stripping ability of the Wardancers to restrict the Bloods to just a single TD.
It was a game with its ups and downs – the vagaries of Luck (and Blood Lust) saw the Vampires struggle to score their only TD, but the fickleness of fate also deprived the Wood Elves of an even larger winning margin. Electing to receive the Hippies lost no time in placing a receiver in the End Zone and moving the ball three quarters of the length of field to place it in his hands. The ability of the Wardancer Sparkles to rip the ball from hands of whoever was holding it meant the next drive was a series of scrappy scrambles for the ball until Ubour Dachnavar finally managed to scoop it up, dodge clear and push himself for a few extra yards of speed to cross the line for the Bloods only TD. With not much time left in the half, the restart saw Vampires constructed a tight cordon across the field – but the insatiable appetite of the Vampires kicked in leaving a hole just big enough for Sparkles to dash through and score the Hippies second.
The second half began with a Hippies blitz that placed immediate pressure on the Bloods. Sparkles then pulled off the play of the day dodging, leaping and pushing herself to the limit to not only strip the ball loose but knock down the Vampire carrying it. The superior speed of the wood elves allowed them to flood players in the back field and eventually get the ball over the line for a third time.
The restart began, remarkably enough, with bright, almost blinding light, issuing forth from the crypt stadiums many candles – conditions that played havoc with both teams attempts to pass the ball. The Vampires again received the ball and it was again stripped from their hands. Nevertheless, they regathered and seem set to dash up the middle in a relentless drive towards the End Zone. But hunger of the vampires again intervened as Lugat Nachtzehrer paused for quick bite. Although the drive continued the unscheduled pause had been enough to allow a gang of defenders to chase down Nachtzehrer and knock him to the ground – and, but for a wayward pass in the bright lights, the Hippies were unlucky not to score a fourth TD in the final seconds of the game.
All in all – a great game for Luke and the Hippies. I don’t know if any of you realise how hard it is play against Wood Elves :) For the Vampires – a far less memorable encounter that has the Bloods fans raising serious questions about the management and coaching of the team.

Some serious stuff
At the time the score was 1-1. The ball was on the deck. It was the Necromantic's turn. There were eleven Graverotters on the field to six All Stars (only two were within cooee of the ball and one was potentially going into the crowd). Remaining rerolls were three to the Graverotters and one to the All Stars.
The exact wording was "connection with opponent was lost."
It was not, in my opinion, a situation where the game would be abandoned by either player. It just happened and no accusations are being made.
But, the Graverotters had truly obtained the upper hand and I felt that a victory was certainly (if anything is certain in Blood Bowl!) achievable.
Abandoned rules saw the All Stars get no money for the match and no MVP. The Graverotters got 2 random TDs (note that the players do not get the SPPs for these, they merely account for the +2 TD scoreline), got to consider re-rolling winnings (but, as a point of clarification, did not get the opposition's winnings) and picked up an extra MVP (the MVP seems to compensate for the likelihood of another casualty and TD).
Anyway, apparently the game needs to be uploaded for review (please advise).
As always with disconnections, it is a disappointing end to a game.
