PC game Dungeonbowl

Found this today and it has Pics.
I have played the Miniature version of this game and it is crazy.

PC game Dungeonbowl uses characters from Blood Bowl
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-04-12-pc-game-dungeonbowl-uses-characters-from-blood-bowl

Dungeonbowl, a PC exclusive spin-off of Games Workshop tabletop game Blood Bowl, launches at some point before July, developer Cyanide has announced.

The online only game uses characters from the American Football fantasy-themed game, and is set in the same world. The difference is, Dungeonbowl is played in a dungeon. Apparently the wizards created it because they wanted to know which Magic College was the most powerful. Ha! Those crazy wizards!

A match is played between two teams, each made up of three races. For example, the Rainbow Wizards team includes Wood Elves, Halflings and Humans. The first team to score a touchdown wins the match.

Sound easy? It isn't. The ball itself is hidden in one of six treasure chests, five of which are booby-trapped with an explosive spell. If that wasn't bad enough, teleporter pads complicate movement. You can use them to your advantage, but you can also end up inadvertently teleporting your players out of the match.

Similar to Blood Bowl, each player plays in turn, and the gameplay is driven by dice. First screenshots are below.

FNFVII CUp Round 2 ended

Hi Coaches

My Apoligies for the lateness in ending the Round. There have been some communication issues with contacting a travelling Coach.

Round 3 is now open so contact your opponent and schedule your games.
We will try and get back on track with the Thursday Night Round end, contact me if this is going to be a problem for a coach.

Dave is away this week and Givo has the Draw against the Orc's, Givo has offered to Coach Dav'e High Elf team against Supercoach.

Geoff is playing the Dark Elf team and his opponent this round is Big-A.

Coaches should visit the Blog and if they notiv they haven't received an email with the Blog post please let me know.

FNFVII CUp Round 1 ended

Hi Coaches

(Adding this message to the Blog as I am not sure all Coaches are getting the group email)

Connection issues still have been effecting the league. Phil White (shortys - Orcs) has volunteered to withdraw from the league and save everyone the frustration of the Port/Connection issues and organising a replacement.
Thanks Phil and lets all hope a new Patch or Version comes out that addresses these issues.

As it is Round 1 and the start of the Cup Rounds all teams will be given a 0-0 all Draw when they Play the Orcs.
This has been done for the Orc vs Nurgle game and Round 1 has been ended.
A Draw means it is fairer to all teams, a Win would be nice but not very useful to the teams playing the Orcs late in the season or in the last Round.

Coaches can organise their games for Round 2 which should be played by Thursday night.

These are troubling times and the Law must be upheld.

Arachnids Defeat Scions of Hapiness

The Asrai Arachnids came up with a surprise win over the Scions of Happiness in a water-logged game this evening.

Despite the pouring rain, the Arachnids managed to run in three TDs to two, and still managed a decent passing game despite the weather.

Some points of note, for those coaches who haven't encountered the "new" Wizard yet:
Before your turn starts, after your opponent has had his turn, a fifteen second timer comes up, to allow the opposing coach time to use his wizard against you. This scared the heck out of me, as I thought my turn had started, I couldn't click on any of my players, and thought I only had 15 seconds to have my go... :-D

Also, Justorius was able to use the Wizard in both halves, having used it early in the first half, apparently he recharged in the second half, which also confused the heck out of me, as I was running down the sideline with two players, looking for a fourth TD, and his wizard went off.

Personally, if you can use the Wizard more than once, I think he is underpriced, and should be re-costed accordingly, or changed back to the LRB rules (not that there's anything we can do about this in any case...). I thought the game was supposed to be LRB compliant???

Well done to Justorius for playing a solid game, despite the best efforts of the weather, and Nuffle doing his best to do him in.

Cheers,

The Championship Win goes to Justorius

Hi Sports Fans

The Last game in Round 5 was won by Justorius - Chaos 3 - 0 over Shortys Orcs.

That win puts Justorius at the top of the Championship Table and 100K has been awarded.
Big-A came in Second and gets 50K (I think).

The Day has ended and The CUP has started with the Draw set.

Now onto the reason we play Blood Bowl, the CUP and a chance of a Trophy.

Because of Easter and the Lag issues the first round will have a little longer and end on Thursday the 19th April at Midnight, this puts us back on the weekend schedule ending on Thursday nights.

So try your games, report problems, see if you can get a Sub if needed and we can all wait and see if a new Patch comes out.

PS. I played in 3 of the 6 games for Round 5 and would like to see other Coaches who haven't Subbed give it a try if required.
