Kreepy Krawlies v Cauldron Keepers

Well and insipid match between the Cauldron Keepers and the KK coached by KK. A 2-0 result to KK with 2 second half touchdowns were the skill highlight. A cracking break pass and long run by the elves on T8 for a trip over the line on a sprint provided most of the comedy, as well as Nestyr forgetting about the 2min clock and his general failure to roll better than a push. My favourite was double skull rerolled to double block by a unskilled lineman against a wight blocker. 2-0 start for the KK has them groaning along. The AG elves need some luck to get their campaign back on track.

F*&king French BB Ruination

I can't take it any more. Just for a bit of fun I took Morphere and his ratties for a run in the Auld World League. A charming French Dwarf accepted my challenge and wish me Bon Chance . . . whatever. He played like we were in the trences in flanders 1916, happy not to move as long as he kept the ball, so much so that after ko'ing no less than 6 players in the first half he stalled on my line until the final turn . . . . 2 turns of waiting. I F*&KING HATE THAT CRAP. After recieving in the second half i took 1 turn and a Morphere sprint to even it up. Surprisingly he then set up shop and boxed his way to the end zone. I was left with only 3 players in quick time. and he still crawled forward with a box ..... and scored last turn. Now I know winning is what counts but F*&K me it bores me to death. Morphere is still awesome (last player standing and almost got the ball back) but he is being put away in case a Frenchie bores him to death.

Toxic Turncoats Thumped

The Norsecan Raiders turned up for a punchup and succeeded against the Toxic Turncoats causing a number of Cas and KO's.
The Raiders received and scored late in the first half.
The Second Half started with a shallow kick landing on the Line of Scrimmage and with a few well aimed hits the ball ended up in the Raiders possession.
With numbers down and slow players the Turncoats just couldn't get the ball back.
The Raiders just failed in scoring a second TD on the last turn of the game.
Well player Qman with a 1 - 0 win.

Undead Rising and Falling

A rattling start to KK's return to FNF's with the Kreepy Krawlies belting the Harlem Graverotters in one of the key undead battles. The Undead really seem to have an advantage over the Necro team as a starter in speed and strength. I must point out that Supercoach rolls like Toldorn and belts his own players about like he can grow new ones. Its nice to have 2 big guys who are not boneheads. Bring on the rest of the league.

Match Report - Twicksters vs Hippies

It was a fine start to an elf heavy league, with Twicksters All Star Elves matched against the Dancing Hippies.

All the plays and stats for Season IV are online

Hey Guys,

At Zen's request I've linked up the individual match details to the blog. So now you can view not only the leaderboard with each teams season totals, but the details of each and every match they've played.

I think we'd all like to thank Zen for his tireless efforts compiling and maintaining this data, and presenting it so well.

The Biff O'Meter has also been updated to keep a record of this seasons brutality. Led for the moment by the Nancy Boy Phoenix Flyers, showing that even the noble born high elves are capable of playing dirty.

Three Seasons of Blood Bowl Wisdom

Greetings all,

As we are between seasons - and not much is happening right now - I was thinking what could be a better use for our Blog than to start a collection of FNF Blood Bowl Truisms that we have all observed over the last three or so seasons of the FNF.
  • The player that scores the biggest victory in the Round 1 will not take out the championship.
  • Fouling and Winning are usually mutually exclusive.
  • Players with AG 2 (or less) are alarmingly good at intercepting passes.
  • There is no such thing as too much Guard on a team.
  • A player that needs just 1 SPP to level up will remain there for at least two games.
  • A Goblin Toss for a TD is the most awesome thing in the game....
  • ....but Goblins still totally suck.
  • The chance of recovering after being Knocked Out is inversely proportional to how vital the player is to your team.
  • There is a one in six chance of rolling a 1 on a D6. Yet I always consider myself outrageously unlucky whenever it happens.
  • Most Dwarf players look exactly the same and can even confuse their own Coaches.
  • Picking up a stationary football is a surprisingly difficult task in the Blood Bowl universe.
  • Apothecaries are dangerous quacks who are not be relied upon.
  • The greatest player to ever appear in FNF remains Morphare the Lethal.

I'm sure you all have your own that can be added to list.

New Team Lists

G'day all,
I assume we are still waiting to finish of the Season.
Is it just me or has the tail lagged considerably?
Where are we at with choices for next season?
I have toyed with the vampire idea but like Dave said they will be quite hard.
I had 1 game and had succesfully managed to kill 1 Thrall and badly hurt 4 more before the end of the first half!
Vampires Suck!!!!
( pardon the pun!)
Perhaps if they had Pro?
I have decided on Chaos if it is a longer comp? Anyone else played some of the new teams and wish to add some Pro's and Con's for some of the new teams?

Legendary Edition

Supercoach is on-line! Bring it on Bloggers! Dear God, did I say "Bloggers"?? Am I ... a Blogger? I feel like my glasses have just grown an inch in circumference and display a significant magnification of the eyes (well, they would have if I had some).

Anyway, is anyone having difficulties with substitutions in Legendary Edition? My subs come up as text in the right hand field of the monitor and cannot be brought onto the field unless directly interchanged with an existing player on the field or through using a set defensive formation. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the Invite, and upcoming sporting violence

Hey Guys,

My first post, and just a thank you for the league invite, and what should be my first opportunity to play Bloodbowl at league level since around 1997.

I cannot wait to indulge myself once again.

Legends "Tip" -The joys of the N key

I've played around four games now on MM with several of the new teams. And I've found the trickiest part is identifying the various positional players on the field. This was especially the case with Amazons were the players are all chicks covered in feathers.

But if you hit the N key the positions appear above the players - I often used this with my human team last season and it's very handy for the first few games until you get used to recognising the players by sight (although I suspect it was always be very useful for Amazons)

Most of you probably know this already but, who knows, it may help someone :)

Legends is here!

Well, I've got the Legends edition up and running, and my word, but there are a lot of teams to choose from. My existing teams (all three of them, including the Harpers) have also been successfully transferred across to the new edition.

The old version of the game is also still supported on the Cyanide server and our League is still there and presumably alive and well. The only change I could see was that my Catcher with +1 MV is now MV 9 and Sprint instead of MV 10 - in line with the latest changes to the rules. I wonder if Dwarf re-rolls have also gone up to 50,000 and the Death Roller is now a Loner - here's hoping :)

So let's get the current season moving along (just one more round and finals) and then we can start a whole new adventure on Legends - I've a mind to try my hand at running a Vampire team

Round 8 White wash by the Althwe Harpers

Well as it seems it could be the last game in that comp, I must congratulate Dave for his absolute trouncing of Da Bloody Mary's!
From the very first turn Dave dominated the game despite valiant attempts to shut down his passing game.
Da Bloody mary's were so overwhelmed with the skills on display, they refused to pick up the ball, pass it or even block.
It was such a thrashing we didnt even get near to a touchdown.
And so ends my finals hopes
Good luck Dave in the finals

Looking Good

Hey all,

I just logged-on for the second time to glance at our very own FNF blog and noticed the inclusion of a stats page . Was that there before?

Anyway, it's great addition. Awesome work Geoff (and Mick, presumably, for the stats) :)

Much appreciated,

How to Post on this Blog

If you've gotten this far then you've probably already noticed that all the members of FNF are Authors on this Blog. Only those in the league will be allowed to Make new posts, and to comment on the posts, which should avoid any haters out there that we don't wont to hear from.

If you've not used a Blog or Forum before, and I'm guessing a few of you havn't, then have a quick read through this Post for some basics.

In the top right hand corner there is a link for new post. click on that and you will be brought to a screen with a text editor. At the top of the editor you have the usual formatting options you see in Word. You also can make links, embed pictures, and videos. One important button is the "Insert Jump Break", which will put the rest of your post on a seperate page, and so keep the front page tidy. I'd like you all to use it please.
