Legends is here!

Well, I've got the Legends edition up and running, and my word, but there are a lot of teams to choose from. My existing teams (all three of them, including the Harpers) have also been successfully transferred across to the new edition.

The old version of the game is also still supported on the Cyanide server and our League is still there and presumably alive and well. The only change I could see was that my Catcher with +1 MV is now MV 9 and Sprint instead of MV 10 - in line with the latest changes to the rules. I wonder if Dwarf re-rolls have also gone up to 50,000 and the Death Roller is now a Loner - here's hoping :)

So let's get the current season moving along (just one more round and finals) and then we can start a whole new adventure on Legends - I've a mind to try my hand at running a Vampire team

  1. It might be worth finding out if Legends players can play against non legends players. Otherwise there could be issues with finishing the league while people have different versions. My understaning is that they can't.

You might have to re-install the old version to complete your matches. Or wait for everyone to get the new edition.

  2. I havn't got the new game yet, but the old one has updated and I'm able to access all the old data again.

I doubt I can play any of the new teams but I didn't even check to be honest.

I'm happy to chalenge Dave with an old team just to see if it'll work. Obviously we won't play the game, just test the connection.

  3. I don't think that will be a problem. It's a whole new stand-alone game - not an upgrade of the existing version. The original game is still there so, so unless some players have uninstalled the original to make room for the new, we should be able to finish Season IV just using the old game.

I noticed that when I deleted an old team from a now defunct league on Legends, it still appeared on my team list when I logged on to the multi-player server using the original game - which suggests to me that they are too wholly seperate entities. The only grief I can see would be if we wanted to continue our existing teams into Season V -which we don't - so there should be no problem.

I could, of course, be completely wrong :)

  4. Hmmm... I might have to reconsider this whole Vampire idea - I just played a Matchmaking game with a Vamp team and found them fiddly as hell - that Blood Lust is tough to manage. Oh, and I lost 1-0 too.

    In my defence, my opponent:

    a) had Norse, so every bastard had Block!
    b) was real dick (no doubt a Frenchman)- no chat at all during the game - could have scored on Turn 4 but huddled in the corner until turn 7, and threw a Turn 16 Foul that killed a thrall. ie a complete cock.

    I'll guess I keep experimenting :)
