Snowmen take frustration out on Twicksters

This match featured the Frosty Snowmen after having a punishing last game, which saw them 4 players down for this match against Twicksters Pro Elf team of 12.
The match started ominously for the Elves kicking off the waiting Norse team who had recruited a host of journeymen eager to prove themselves, and where fuming to get some payback after loosing team mates in the last.
The first few seconds of the match saw an elven lineman, fall dead at the Line of scrimmage after a punishing blow. The Norse laid out the smack down, however could not keep hold of the ball. An elven catcher raced in to snatch the ball and quick pass it to a comrade, however the Norse defense was too good, and that teammate did not long stay on his feet, the ball scattering and retrieved by the Norse. The Norse progressed down field, battering everything that got in their path all the way to the end zone in turn 6, stepping over the bodies of the Elves who relentlessly stood in the path of the Norse war machine in hopes to stop it.

The Elf team, now fielding a team of 6, had 2 turns to equalize in the first half. Spying a gap in the Norse defense, they lined up in a flanking position, however they were duped by the Norse who's 'Perfect defense' changed to turn that gap into a wall of hairy bodies.

The Second half The Twicksters were still in dire straights, with only one player recovering his senses enough to play. An elf catcher recovered the ball and stayed deep, while others ran forward into touch down range, however he was not deep enough, and the Norse runner pushed it twice to blitz the elf catcher to the ground, sending the confused elf team scrambling to recover the ball, which they failed at miserably. The Norse once all the elven threats lay on the ground, picked up the ball to score again.

Receiving again, the Elf team got ready for the worst, and not surprisingly the Norse now took this opportunity to 'blitz'. Still after this the elves managed to get some players down field, and the ball in hand. The Norse then showed their reverence for fire. Warmth bringer, saviour in the cold wastes, and on the bloodbowl field. Crispy fried elf burgers. A fireball struck with tremendous force taking two players off the field. It was not long until the Norse had secured their third touchdown.

Forth time lucky, the elves didn't make previous mistakes, flanking to the other side this time an Elven catcher got under the ball before it landed, while the rest of the team streamed down the flank. One Norse defender had the receiver flanked, but a committed elf lineman wrestled him to the ground, clearing the way for a perfectly executed pass and a dash to the end zone, scoring the twicksters first and only touchdown of the match.

The Norse received in the final minutes of the match, showing exceptional skill at ball passing and covering a good deal of ground. A fourth touchdown was imminent, there were still a few elves standing able to save the touchdown, but in a display of truly terrible coaching, Twickster sent his catcher down field as a scoring threat despite the imminent end of the match. The star catcher, who had played such an integral part of the elven team from the very beginning, and who had scored there only touchdown for the game, pushed once, then twice, oho, he trips, falls, the team re-roll no good. Crack. The sound of his neck snapping could be heard even over the cheers of the fans as the Norse casually stepped over the line for their 4th touchdown, and the end of the match.

  1. Appologies if this report is somewhat innacurate, I'm writing from memory, and my subconcious is already trying to block out the ordeal.

A good win to Toldorn, and I can't complain too much after what happened to him last match.

Result was a 4-1 win to the Norse, 5 casualties to 1. One death was saved by the apothacary, leaving just two deaths for the Pro Elves, an unskilled lineman, and a catcher with guard who would have got his second skill this match.
