Keepers Moving Up

Greetings sports fans,

It's taken seven games, but the Cauldron Keepers are now becoming a team to be reckoned with.

With their round seven victory, Line Elves Marfil and Cambean both learned a valuable new skill: the art of Guarding (double 2's and double 3's respectively on the skill rolls).

Witch Elf Malsarys is now proficient at Blocking, and has been joined by sister Witch Elf Gaenradys, who will play her first game in round eight.

It is rumoured Gaenradys is a touchdown machine, so keep an eye on her!

This all comes at a cost, though. To make way for these new skills and player, something had to give, and what gave was the Keeper's Kicker. He was already on edge when the first Witch Elf joined the team. When he spied the second, he muttered something about "...not going on the sacrificial altar..." and quit. He was last sighted on a corsair ship, heading for Ulthuan.

Gesmeal, the Keeper's Kick-Off return specialist, has vowed to fill the void, and has been practicing his kicking all week. He was overheard saying "...I can catch the thing, it's about time I learned how to kick it, too..." at the post-match sacrifice.

The Keepers coach has had a word to his underperforming Blitzers and is rumoured to have threatened them with first hand experience on the sacrifical altars if they do not improve. After seven games this season, they have 18 points between them, and two skills (Dodge on both Tabryel and Marnear).

Blitzer Fimthil has vowed to improve (with a tally of 4 points), while Umbrior seemed less than impressed (a grand total of 0 points so far this season).

The Keepers are looking forward to their next round, against the thrice despised, so-called "Pro" Elf team.

  1. This could spell disaster for the Pro Elf Twicksters who are next up to do battle with the Cauldron Keepers.

Word on the street is that their super strong catcher, Guard, and all round nice guy; will be out next game due to an injury sustained when he ran afoul of a rat orge.

The Twicksters have their first win under their belt however. And I know that the Pro elf fans are hoping that momentum grows as we get closer to finals time.

If one thing is for sure, its that this grudge match between Elven houses is going to be anything but pretty.

Really?? I thought the exact opposite would be true and it would be more like a fashion parade than a football game. :)

Oh, and love the picture Jeff!
